Detailed Itinerary

  • Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam!

  • Transfer to the city for hotel check-in

  • The remainder of your first day is free to relax and adjust yourself from jetlag.

(Once dearly called Diamond of the Far-east with the luxury level overriding that of Hongkong or Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City is now the most populated city in Vietnam. Modern office skyscrapers, amidst Oriental style pagodas and food stalls along the street, create a dynamic urban area in very special sense.)

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN HO CHI MINH CITY (SAIGON)

After the first night relaxing, today you will be ready for your Vietnam Tour with a full day to visit the featured sites of Saigon and the famous underground tunnel network in Cu Chi.

In the morning, 8:00 Start with 1.5hour drive to Cu Chi tunnels. Get the overview of Cu Chi by watching a documentary. Your guide walks you around to witness the traps, bunkers, trenches and experience crawling a piece of the underground tunnels. Drive back to the city for a set menu lunch at a restaurant

In the afternoon, Continue on visiting the War Remnants Museum; The former Presidential Palace; The Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Old Post Office

DAY 2: CITY TOUR & CU CHI TUNNELS

Meals:  Breakfast/ Lunch

The ‘rice bowl’ of Vietnam, the delta is carpeted in a dizzying variety of greens. It's a water world that moves to the rhythms of the mighty Mekong, where boats, houses and markets float upon the innumerable rivers, canals and streams that criss-cross the landscape like arteries.

In the morning, 08:00 - Depart from the hotel and drive southward to Mekong Delta. The drive takes nearly 2.5 hours. Upon arrival in Ben Tre, embark on a motorized boat trip along the scenic Ben Tre River, viewing various local industries along the way. Have some stops to visit local workshops: making bricks by the kilns;  Making coconut candy; Sleeping straw mats. Take a motor cart passing fruit and vegetable fields. Ride a short sampan boat on a small creek of water-coconut trees.Lunch at a garden restaurant.

In the afternoon, Drive to Can Tho City which is considered as the capital of the Delta. Check in your hotel for staying overnight.​

DAY 3: MEKONG DELTA

Meals: Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner

Have you heard about A Floating Market in Mekong? The watery world of the Mekong Delta is home to many bustling floating markets. This day is when you can feast your eyes on many interesting things on the water at Cai Rang Floating Market.

 

In the morning, have breakfast at your hotel and check out. 08:00 - Get to Ninh Kieu quay where you board a motorized boat to meandering through the market. Followed by a short ride to Ba Cong village to pay a visit to a family who specializes in making rice paper and noodle. Cruise back to the quay and make your way back to HCMC. Lunch is served on the way.

In the afternoon, Keep driving toward Saigon and heading to the airport for you to catch a late-afternoon flight to Hue, in Central Vietnam. Get picked up and check into your hotel for the night.

DAY 4: MEKONG DELTA - SAIGON - HUE

Meals: Breakfast/ Lunch

Take a journey through Hue’s eventful past as you explore its ancient imperial architecture including; a boat trip along the Perfume River, the Emperor's Private Residence, Thien Mu Pagoda and a royal tomb.

 

In the morning, breakfast in hotel as usual. Drive to visit King Minh Mang's tomb & King Khai Dinh tomb. Return to the city for lunch at a restaurant.

In the afternoon, discover the Ancient Citadel. The walk through the complex is very interesting and informative. Followed by a short transfer to visit the charming Lady Pagoda (Thien Mu Pagoda). Setting on the bank of rivers, it gives you a great view on the Perfume River and surrounding area. Ending the day by boarding on a private boat, cruising on the romantic Perfume River back to the city center.

DAY 5: HISTORICAL TOUR OF HUE

Ancient and peaceful, Hoi An has to this days well preserved its most sacred treasure, the centuries-old architecture. The town used to harbor foreign traders back in the 17-18th, and once is an important heavily-frequented trading port in Southeast Asia.

In the morning, the morning drive to Hoi An via Hai Van Pass will occupy half of your day. There are a few stops for photo opportunities such as at Lang Co Beach, Hai Van Pass you may want to take. Arrive at Hoi An ancient town. Check into your hotel for a short rest, then go for lunch at a nice restaurant.

In the afternoon, embark on a walking tour to visit feature sites of Hoi An Old Quarter: Hoi An wet market; Japanese Covered Bridge; Phuoc Kien, a Chinese Assembly; Tan Ky ancient house; Watch the art of handicraft making at a Hoi An workshop.

DAY  6: DRIVE TO HOI AN

Meals: Breakfast/ Lunch

Accommodation: Hotel in Hoi An

The morning is yours for leisure on Cua Dai Beach or doing your own things.

In the afternoon, take a bicycling tour to the nearby countryside: Pedaling the country lane-ways to reach some of the villages that are dotted throughout the region, stopping to talk to the locals and learn about life in this part of Vietnam. You will be passing emerald rice paddies, snaking waterways and plenty of waving children. Following your guide to the bank of the Thu Bon River and take a boat trip and discover the waterway before going back to Hoi An. Approach the dock and walk to the hotel. Overnight in Hoi An.

DAY 7: HALF-DAY TOUR OF THE RUSTIC HOIAN

Accommodation: Hotel in Hoi An

This morning is easy for you to relax on the beach for do some shopping at the Old Quarter. Check out your hotel by noon.

In the afternoon, transfer to Da Nang airport for a short flight to Hanoi. Get picked up on arrival and rest for the remainder of the day.

Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY  8: HOI AN - HANOI

Hanoi, located on the banks of the Red River, is one of the most ancient capitals in the world, where travellers can find well-preserved colonial buildings, ancient pagodas, and unique museums within the city centre.

In the morning, breakfast at the hotel. Start the city tour with Ba Dinh Square, including: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, view of the presidential palace, Uncle Ho's house-on-stilts, One Pillar PagodaTemple of Literature - Vietnam’s first university. Set menu lunch at a restaurant in the city.

In the afternoon, Hoa Lo Prison (A add-on if you are interested in); Ethnology Museum (about Vietnamese ethnic minorities) with water puppet show. An interesting walk along the train tracks through a part of the city residence.

DAY 9: HANOI CITY TOUR​

Meals: Breakfast/ Lunch

Accommodation: Hotel in Hanoi

8.00 a.m. you will be picked up at your hotel then transferred to Duong Lam Ancient Village which is about 1,5 hour away. Upon arrival, embark on a biking tour along the small ancient alleys to visit Mong Phu Temple. Then you will continue riding around the village to explore the daily life and farm works of Vietnamese villagers. Stop to visit two ancient houses and meet and talk with the hosts. Have lunch at a local family. There, you will have the chance to taste the typical Vietnamese lunch of the rustics. In the afternoon, visit Ngo Quyen temple and Phung Hung temple where worship two national heroes of Vietnam. Your last destination is Mia Pagoda, a peaceful and antique Buddhist building. Back to Hanoi late in the afternoon. Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 10: DUONG LAM ANCIENT VILLAGE VISIT

Meals: Breakfast/ Lunch

Accommodation: Hotel in Hanoi

The morning drive to Ninh Binh province takes you about 2,5 hours through the fertile land of the Red River Delta. Upon arrival, you'll take 2-hour sampan boat ride at Tam Coc (Three Caves). This area is considered as “Inland Halong Bay” featured with karst formations. It is very beautiful scenery along the row with vertical sides of Limestone Mountains and rice paddy-fields. The local rowers will take you gently through three beautiful limestone caves with hundreds of stalactites above your heads. Back to the dock and transfer to a local restaurant for a Vietnamese lunch.

After lunch, you will jump on a bike for a stunning ride along the back roads through the beautiful scenery of towering karsts on the ground of ponds, rice paddies and rural villages in the area. On the bike, we will have as many stops as you want to take photographs. One of the stop is Bich Dong Pagoda. Bich Dong pagoda is an important religious place for the locals in the region. You will take a short hike up to visit the three structures of the pagoda. About 3:30 PM, take the afternoon drive back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 11: NINH BINH BOAT AND BIKE

Meals: Breakfast/ Lunch

Accommodation: Hotel in Hanoi

Halong Bay, in northeast Vietnam, is known for its emerald waters and thousands of towering limestone islands. Designated a World Heritage site in 1994, the bay is a "must-see" place for any visitor to Vietnam, especially an overnight trip on a traditional wooden junk.

In the morning, after breakfast at hote, get picked up for the morning transfer to Halong Bay pier. (The pick-up times are a bit various between the different boats. You'll be provided the detail cruise program  by your private travel specialist)

In the afternoon: ​Around noon - Board your boat and start the cruising itinerary with lunch and dinner aboard. Some interesting activities are available include kayaking, swimming, sunbathing on the sun deck. Overnight at a ensuite cabin on boat.

DAY 12: HANOI - HALONG BAY

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Accommodation: Overnight on a boat

In the morning: Wake up early in the morning for sunrise and a view of Bay’s landscape with a cup of tea or coffee. Join a taichi class (availability depends on the certain boat you take). Further scenic cruise to other parts of the bay with a limestone cave visit. An early lunch is served on the way back to the pier. Disembarkment by noon time

In the afternoon: Relaxing on the return bus journey. Check back into your Hanoi hotel. The remainder of your day is at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 13: HALONG BAY - HANOI

Meals: Brunch

Accommodation: Hotel in Hanoi

Today is your last day. It depends on your departure flight time, You may have to rush in the morning or just free at leisure or do some last shopping until get transferred to the airport.
